Personal Work



I am a San Francisco-based photographer whose work spans commercial portraiture, editorial, political campaigns and live performance photography. My life has been as rich and varied as my photography — shaped by a quintessentially Gen X childhood, urban Cincinnati with summers in Nashville, and enough unsupervised time to learn how to get lost in the world around me — a feeling I have never stopped needing. My path has also included a doctorate in psychology, a commitment to community activism, and above all a life built around nurturing others — as a partner, a mother of four, and an advocate.

Private Oceans, Plastic Flowers, and Deconstruction Dreams represent a different kind of work — more intimate, more personal, and in many ways the place where I have found myself as an artist. Shot entirely on my phone, in the margins of daily life, they are three personal series exploring the moments when the world compresses — flowers against plastic, water against glass, a city pushing against its own edges — finding in that pressure pattern, beauty, and strangeness.
